I have a very bad habit! I think that if I do something once it will always be that way, for example...if I try to lose weight and I don't I think that whatever I did that time did not work. So I change it, instead of changing me and my view and outlook. I also think that if I need something now I will need it later. What I have to learn is that life is a flow and if change need to hapen it needs to be in my own mind not any extrior things. I am the cataylst for change in my life! I don't ever take into condideration other factors that enevidably are not the same, like I have tried dieting before but then I was not 33 years old, and I had a sick Mom to care for and a new marriage. Now I have since burried my Mom and my marriage is not so new and I have other added factors so what I need to do is change my view! I feel like I have done that now.

I know what I need to do to lose weight, not only have I been on almost every diet known to man, but I still have most of them in my drawer in my computer room! I have at least 3 (Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, LA weightloss). So all I have to do is implement! Which thank God I am doing now. I have been consistant for one week over all, I have been doing other things for over a month now, but I am talking diet and excersise for one week.

So now, I have truely changed my life!

So, I have been MIA so much lately! I have been getting my christmas cards. Which I have posted. So let's get caught up! I had a great Thanksgiving, I went shopping with my sister-in-laws! One of them it was her first time and she had a blast! The other one is not going with me again! LOL She wasted so much time, looking at stuff that was not on SALE!! If you have ever been shopping after thanksgiving you know all of the sales end early, so you have to get in and get your stuff and get to the next store!

Next DH got a job on the road and he was gone for a while, then his contract ended and he was back to looking for work! So he has had so many job interviews I decided to hit the road with him and so we have been to OK, AZ and I am not sure where to next!

Next, I will be getting another foster doggy I think? Not sure yet I have to call to get the details, and tell her about my schedule! Anyway, see you all soon!

Well, that's right I have some new animals!! I have a 9 year old Pom who we are trying to find a great home for. And I have a new Black Cat who I am keeping!! She is wonderful she came right to me and has made herself at home here. I feel like I know her, like she is someone coming back into my life. She walks around the house like she has been here before. Well, I love her already I named her Shalamar! Enjoy the pics!

Ok So it’s been a long, long time since I blogged! But I have been very busy, Let’s see where do I start? First, I had a wonderful time at the Simply Southern Scrapbook Convention in Huntsville, AL. I had a great time because I went to college there and have friends who still live there. I also got to spend some time with me new friend Adriann! The convention was a lot of fun! I did a few classes, and even better I got to scrap with someone, I do it alone so much, that I love being able to share my time!
Next, I have been trying to get my Christmas cards done so I can get them out after Thanksgiving! Then, I promised an 12x12 album with 20 pre-made pages for the rescue group that I volunteer for. It’s for an auction they are having in a few weeks, so I am excited! But, as most of you know that is a lot of work!!!!
Then, I am always working with the rescue group and my own endeavor to stop the Cat population in my neighborhood! So that involves catching cats and getting them to the doctor and then deciding weather they can be made house cats, but most don’t make the cut, They are too feral. Let’s see oh then I want to start my own business but I am on hold until I find out where in the world we will be. I am not sure I want to live in St. Louis anymore. Ok well I guess that’s it for now, see ya next time!

Being Lucky!

So where do I start..well I will first say I have been very lucky lately. I have won a few things on scrapbook sites..I won a stamp set from Ink Boutique, and a $10 coupon from SB.com, and I set of tags from creative express. I don't know what to say I never this lucky it makes me want to go play the lottery, but I am awful when it comes to spending my money! LOL

Next I want to tell a story about one of the new cats I am fostering, as most of you know I foster animals for a rescue group here in St. Louis. I was called to pick up a cat from a local pound, all the officer said was something was wrong with her legs, and she lost a lot of fur from a very bad flea infection. So When I saw her I was so il prepared! She was so small and pittiful, I was conflicted on wheather she should even live. I talked to one of my friends who told me who amd I to say wheather she should live, she lived this long...So I took her to the doctor and found out she was missing a bone in her forearms which made her wrists and elbows not fit together correctly. But after I got her home and she was feed and in a clean bed, she was wonderful, she jumped out of the play pin and she walks around on her back legs she looks so freaky!! LOL but she gets around by herself, she feeds gerself and she uses the kitty liter, just like any other cat..well here is a picture os her keep her in your thoughts!

Dexter and Eating

I can't wait until Sept 30t, because that is the day when my favorite show comes back on. DEXTER!!!! I love that show sooo much I am almost shaking just think about it coming back on. For those of you who have no idea what it is Dexter is based on a book of the same name. Dexter is a serial killer who only kills other serial killers. www.sho.com can hlp you with more info.

Anoter topic, I watched Oprah today and realized for the first time that I don't eat enough! LOL That sounds funny to even say!! but true I don't eat nearly enough fruits or veggies! Well the veggies is hard for me, I don't like many so my choices are limited...but maybe I can try some and get adventurous! LOL Well see ya soon,

I am really loking forward to the weekend. We are aving a bike tour come through my area...and the wineries are having a big whoppdie doo for it. I am really looking forward to just getting out and doing something different. We will be sitting at a prime table with a few glasses of wine and some appiziters and a cool breeze blowing! I will try to get some good pics too for you all to see.

Ok So I am not feeling well

You know what, I am not feeling well and it dawned on me that I have not had a day off in a few weeks! WOW I had not noticed. Maybe I did notice a little, because I usually do my scrapbooking on my night off. And I have not done much scrapbooking lately. So I am off tonite and I have a headache and don't feel much like scrapping. So maybe it was a waste of time to take off. Oh well, such is life. I am watching a movie Hendricks, about Jimmy Hendricks and he was a really cool guy. Well, his music was really good, anyway, I don't really have the ability to know if he really was cool or not..LOL.

Ok next topic! I am a Fabreze nut!! I am so hooked on all of the fabreze products. I have 3 doggies as most of you know, and with 3 dogs you must have fabreze! I don't care how much you wash them and keep them clean they get dirty quick! So tonite I went to Wally world (Walmart for those who don't know) and bought almost $50 worth of fabreeze stuff, I bought the refills for the plug-in and a new bottle of fabric freshner, and Tide with Fabreze! Oh and the new candle with fabreze! It is too good!!!!

Ok someone posted a comment to my blog about the Jena 6. Let's just say it was not very clear so I deleted it. It was almost a threat. I don't know why people still use a faceless way to answer something, they posted annoymus. Just modern day sheet weares! I had no idea that my little blog would cause someone to wish me harm. WOW...I am truly saddned that the world I thought I lived in, does not exsist. People are still fighting this race thing!! I don't undersatnd, people are so mixed these days you don't know what you are ethnicly...all we do know is that we are Human!!! Men and Women!! I this finds everyone well! Peace!

OK time for me to get on a soapbox!!!! This is a very serious subject. I want to bring to your attention the Jena 6. I know you have not heard of them. They are 6 young black boys in LA..sitting in jail facing 22 years, for attemted murder. OK I am goig to make this brief. It all started over the "White Tree" at a school in Jene, LA. It is a tree that only white students sit under during breaks from school. One day a black student asked the adminstration if he could sit under the tree, they told him sit where ever you want. The next day nooses hung from the tree. Later, a white man pulled a gun on 3 black boys and they went to jail for taking it away from him, he walked away with no charges. Then a black student was beaten at a party, and later a white student taunted him about it and was hurling racial slurs. That same night the white student was beaten...and released from the hospital within hours and went to a social event the next day. The 6 black students who beat him up were charged with attemted murder!!!!!!! The all face 22 years in jail!! It is outragious!!! Please take some time to look at these videos and read the stories!!

Hey all!! I had a great weekend

I had a wonderful weekend, I went to a crop at my new fav Lss!!! It is small and the lady who owns is wonderful! I finnaly have a home! Let me give you a brief in why this is so important to me. I had a Local scrapbook store 2 summers ago, and it closed. I was so hurt because no one called to let me know I just called to sign up for the crop and no one answered, so I called another lady from there and she told me it was closed! Well, after that I went to the mall and found a huge chain scrapbook store named Archiver's! I thought I was in heaven! It had everthing imaginable, but, it still was not my store yet! I signed up for a crop and it was a 12 hour one, it was $50 which was a lot for me, I was used to paying $15-$20. Anyway, I wanted to go, so I assumed that after sitting with 3 other ladies for 12 hours I would make some new friends. I was saddly mistaken, I tried and tried to get a conversation started with them and nothing! They treated me like I was not even there, So, I went to my car and got my IPod and listened to it for the rest of my time there. So I was done with them. So This weekend I went to a LSS and cropped. It was so much fun it was only 3 ladies and it was great! We talked and laughed and just had a great time! I am happy, I did these 2 pages there...tell me what you think!

I love Shopping

I am in a shopping mood but I want to save my money for a scrapbook convention I am going to in OCT. But then again that is a while off yet, I just don't know what to do, I want to buy some clothes on ebay. I have been reading to many fashion magazines. Anyway, I am getting my hair done next week by a new hair dresser, so I hope it al goes well. I have a very interesting type of hair. It is very curly when curly, but when I blow dry it straight it wil not hold a curl! I have been to many different shops and they are ok, but I found a new lady named Mahsa and she is Irainan and has hair like me, so I hope she will do a great job. Anyway everyone have a great day!

A new day

Well I had a long weekend. It all started on Thursday when I went to a friends house to help her with her final wedding touches. And that night turned into helping with the decorating, and the rehersal dinner...but it was a lot of fun! The wedding turned out so lovely!!! Her colors were black and white, and the wedding was a mixture of all races. The bride is biracial and the groom's Mother is married to a white man, so we were the embodiment of what america is today, a mix of everything, there was not a race that was missed. There were Aisians there and Hispanics, and Iranian! It was really cool to be there! I will be posting pics of the wedding later.

Have'nt Done much!

Well I have not done much scrapping lately, it has been so hot I just want to lay in bed and watch TV! I am watching CNN and maybe I should'nt, they are talking about those men trapped in the mine. I feel so much for those families and hope that they are still alive! Also, they are disussing the hurricane and much more. OK That's it I can't take anymore! Off it goes!

Let's see what else can I talk about? Oh my workouts have been going good! My abs hurt, and that's a good thing, I am tryin to get the eating thing better, I have not done too bad, but I am drinking lots of water which it is easy these days it has been so hot! I watch the biggest loser, and other diet shows to keep me motivated! Oh yeah did Star Jones think she was fooling anyone??????? I mean you don't lose that much weight that fast and have it not been some kind of surgery!!! And you know what I am not mad at her! I mean, if I was that big I would do it too, sometimes extreme measures are all you have left! I understand because I have been on every diet known to man! And sometimes I wish I had someting to make me not eat! I have no self control, and just feel like a drug addict...oh well wish me well!

I realize that this statement is so true! I am struggling to be a grown up and my idol (Mom) is not here to help me! She showed me a lot but not the step by step details. So I am now becoming the person that I want to be, I Have different beliefs than my Mother, and my own ideas. I am now able to tell people who I am. Thanks God!!! I am getting courage everyday...

Well if you are looking at this post you will see I am so proud of my 3 babies. They have come such a long way. When I first got the baby and the now 7 year old, they were not to happy about my oldest dog (Lopez, he's the one laying down in the pic). But, now as you care see we are one big happy family! Other than that, I am tryin to stay cool, I have not ben feeling to well lately and not sure if it is due to the heat that we are all feeling!

OK So I had a great time at CHA!!!! I got to a point where I did not want to do another make and take! I can't believe I am sayin that but it's true. I did most of them though. I still have projects to do now, some thing I could not finish while there. I am so thankful to Robyn for asking me to go with her! I am so honored by the whole thing. I also got a birthday party to boot! I am the most grateful person in the world to my family and great friends...ok I am cryin so let me stop. Bye for now.
